I learned all about plate tectonics, volcanoes, and earth-quakes. First, there was Pangaea. It is what the earth used to be like before the plate tectonics moved. Plate tectonics  are the other words for  earth's crust. They are really just the pieces of the earth's crust. When plates move away from each other, they form mountains. However, when plates move toward each other they form volcanoes. Volcanoes can change entire landscapes. They can destroy large forests and they can form new rock when the lava cools. Deep beneath the earth's surface there is a very hot liquid called magma. Magma pushes tectonic plates away and towards each other. That happened a very long time ago. Magma pushed tectonic plates away from each other and made Pangaea into what we now look at on a globe. Even to this very day tectonic plates are still moving towards and away from each other. In fact, North America is moving away from Europe. I hope from my post you know what I have learned in this video.
