Anxiety affects people whether they are in college or not. Collegestats.org suggests, "80% of students report they feel stressed on a daily basis." The difference that causes anxiety to be a problem is when anxiety starts to interfere with your performance in your classes or interfere with being social with other people, then it may be time to seek help. Recognizing the signs is the first step to healing from any anxiety disorder. Everyone expresses anxiety differently but some symptoms might be being in constant fear, having frequent headaches, exhibiting shortness of breath, trouble concentrating, constantly feeling stressed or irritated. Reaching out to a friend or medical professional is the best way to combat anxiety.
