Elle comes off as a slightly shy girl. She is very young just like Abigail and has ambition similar to hers. The roles she plays as an actor remind me of the way Abigail is portrayed through The Crucible. She is fun, and up for an adventure and isn’t afraid to try new things. She is very unique to many of the other characters in The Crucible. She drives to stand out from the crowd and be unique. I think the motive behind what she did was she was tired of being tied down to the rules her Uncle (Reverend Parris) laid down for her. She is not afraid to fight for what she wants; she is very manipulative. She has an affair with a married man and causes a lot of tension between him and his wife ultimately leading to his death.
