I don't know how to explain it... It depends, really... Teens from wealthy areas might have to live up to this certain type of standard (or standards) so they can keep their "perfect image" for their "friends" and others around them, so they can be thought of as the average "rich kid" stereotype (not that that's what they might/might not be going for...) to stay accepted...?
