Followers: The number of followers a user has is a metric that represents the social influence and recognition within the community. Following other users can be seen as a form of recognition.

Verification and Badges: Tiktok offers the verification badges for popular influential users. By sharing users promote the content to their own followers and the tiktok community, creators may find a sense of being recognized through receiving large amount of shares.

Followers: the number of followers can be related to the concept of identity recognition that Charles Taylor offers. Tiktok Users may develop their identities through the recognition they get when having large numbers of followers and creating their own community.

Verification and Badges: Verification badges can be related to Nancy Fraser's ideas of economic and cultural recognition. Being a verified account can lead to economic recognition indirectly. It often attracts more followers and opportunities to work with brands. Also the badges represent a form of cultural recognition since it elevates certain users as significant figures in the platform.
