Protons, neutrons, and electrons live in an atom, hence they are known as subatomic particles! They all look different and have properties like charge and mass.

Note the P in both and that might help you remember.

Neutrons are Neutral.

We are left with Electrons and they are negative.

Know that the charge of protons and electrons is equal in an atom.

Protons and neutrons are heavier. They both have a mass of 1.

Electrons are very very small in their mass. An electron is 2000 times lighter than a proton. That's like comparing an ant to a mountain!

These electrons are revolving around the nucleus of an atom all the time. Sometimes for ease, one can also say that their mass is as small as zero.
