Many of the teachers I have worked with have started shifting towards YouTube channels for students. They will either post their own videos of them walking through PowerPoints or find other math teachers videos that teach the same topic. This is then added to their google classroom under a topic head.
The math group I worked with during my long term sub position utilized Edulastic for quizzing students. With this program we were able to create graphs that would allow students to plot points and create line graphs. I really liked this program, but there is a learning curve on creating the quiz questions

Our school also uses IXL and prodigy is a favorite among the students. Last week I was introduced to a new app (new to me). I believe it was Booklet??? I pulled a game up on the Smart Board and once all the students were logged on, I hit start on the timer. The clock was set for 30 minutes and students competed with each other to earn the most money. When they solved the problems correctly, they earned $$$. They could also borrow money from someone and get ahead. The screen kept a current scoresheet so students could see who was ahead, where place they were, etc. It was fun and I enjoyed watching the children having fun while learning and practicing math. ~Alicia

I like using mobymax in my classroom. It really breaks everything down into the smallest parts ensuring every aspect of the concept being taught is learned to mastery before moving on.
If a student gets stuck in one area, it will give them a step by step guided lesson with practice questions before allowing them to attempt the assignment again.
If they are still stuck after this guided lesson, it will pause their learning and alert the educator.
The educator can then login and create a virtual classroom for that lesson. Together they can work to ensure the student gets the help they need until they fully understand the assignment.
I use it in the classroom and do guided lessons with my students, so I can also understand what they are teaching, and I use it outside of the classroom for my virtual students. It will auto assign lessons or allow the teacher to pick and choose what they want to assign.

Being a math teacher this was something I had to learn along the way! Sometimes students just aren't mathematically brained, so they need to learn it in different ways. I always found it was best to show them how to do it on paper and then give them different websites that they could practice on over and over again. You know what they say, practice makes perfect.
