As educators you are responsible for understanding different cultures. With this you need to make sure that you are first they're about the different cultures that may be coming into your classroom. For example, if a student in your classroom celebrates different holidays than some, those holidays should be incorporated into your curriculum as well. In order for this to be done educators need to research these holidays and make sure they understand the events taking place. Opening up other holidays and other cultures that some may celebrate will make your classroom environment a positive space. All students will feel welcomed and heard and feel comfortable in the environment.

This would consist of families within the community to set up booths that shares their cultures and their traditions with the rest of the community. Different culture foods could be an example of their booth, a family could share a craft, etc. This allows the community to engage with the educators and the rest of the school faculty and it allows everyone to get to know each other to share their backgrounds. In the end when they come to school, they can feel welcomed, and that people understand their backgrounds.

Although this event may not include the younger age students, but it gives an opportunity for the older students to start thinking about their future. This could be a great opportunity for students to learn that no matter the differences there may be there are still resources to help provide the best for their education.
