Summary of Topic
As the number of special education students continue to increase it’s important those students are being identified early on. According to the Child Find "the state must identify, locate, and evaluate all children with disabilities in the state who need special education and related services" (Individuals with Disability Act, 2017).

This children with special needs face many challenges and without the proper IEP'S and 504's put in place they will not be successful. It is important schools understand the laws related to equal education for special education students. A reason students aren't being identified is parents of children with a disability are in denial and are fearful and feel threatened by consequences.

Individuals with Disability Act, 2017

Sec § . 300.111 Child find

https://sites.ed.gov/idea/regs/b/b/300.111
