Each group is expected to organise and participate in at least one rehearsal every week. This rehearsal is outside class time. Many groups find it helpful to organise extra rehearsals in the final weeks before the performance.
The Gateway Building Drama spaces must be booked for rehearsals, your booking will ensure your access to the building and that supervision is provided. Bookings can be made through the portal as follows: dramastudiobookings@trinity.unimelb.edu.au

I suggest that you use your rehearsal time to choose two ideas/inspirations and make a freeze/sculpture/photograph for each one. Make one of these more symbolic/abstract/dream like; and the other more realistic/ real life like. Choose one of these freezes to bring to life; so that the freeze becomes a short dramatic scene (like a play or movie). While you work think about how you use the performance space for dramatic effect: high or low levels, the ways bodies are grouped and what message this gives the audience. It helps to think about the 5 W's: who, when, where, what, why.

Remember: Begin to work physically as soon as possible in your rehearsals, as your thinking will be activated by doing. (it is easily to loose a lot of time just talking!)
