In the story, Dorian inderectly sold his soul to the Devil when he wished that his paint will aged but not his body. We also think that Lord Henry is the devil. He talks like him, acts like him and tampts Dorian to do awfulthings he didn't want to. We can connect this theme in daily life when we wish something. We want that thing so bad that we are capable of doing anything in order to have it. In the long-term, we think that having a Faust Legend corrupts our soul and mind.

Hector Castro
Arturo Saenz
Roy Campos
Juan Pablo

In the book it can be found the aesthetic symbols, for example the peacock feather. Also, how Lord Henry and Dorian Gray praise beauty , this can show how important aestheticsism was in the Victorian and for Oscar Wilde.
We choose this topic because we saw how much did the aesthetic movement influenced Wilde and we wanted to show how it was represented in the book.
-Daniela Peña
-Adriana Chong
-Fátima Alcocer

Even though everyone has hell and heaven within themselves, Basil represents good for Dorian, and Harry evil. The fact that Dorian murdered Basil, signifies that Dorian chose the bad path.
Also, when Sybil committed suicide, Dorian felt so bad that he escaped his reality and found refugee in Lord Henry's influence and ideas.
-Natalia
-Paulina
-Ana Victoria
-Diego Antonio

Eternal youth is something everyone has wished for, but we don't really know what the real prize is. We all see it as something good because youth goes hand to hand with beauty. Youth is represented in the book as something really important, but as we have read, this has brought nothing but bad things to Dorians life.

In the story there is a character named Basil, which in our opinion could be a representation of the real person "Bosie". The reason for this theory is that in the story, as well as in real life, Bosie and Basil both seem like they are in love with Oscar Wilde (also known as Dorian Gray).
by: Natasha delgado
rodrigo Espinoza
