Working on listening to validate the individual that is experiencing difficult times. Also allowing the individual to focus on their breathing and use an appropriate tone with talking to said person

I have not had this experience in a classroom, but I have encountered peers and mentors who have shared their insights and expertise. I try to approach things empathetically and do my best to regulate my own emotions. Speaking in a calm voice in a direct way can help for clarity. Zones of regulation are very helpful, I've learned them as blue, green, yellow and red zone and applied principles of DBT to help.
