Critical question: How can humanity reconsider the idea of progress so that technological and urban development will not put at risk the ecosystems and future generations?

Question 1:

- How much can urbanization and modernization attempts affect the environment?

1. When cities expand, forests and green areas disappear in a worrying way, and animals lose their habitats.

2. Modernization brings more cars, factories, and buildings, which increases air, water, and noise pollution.

3. Big cities need a lot of resources. Due to all the construction process, The lack of these materials becomes more common and this can increase the climate change.

Question 2:

- Is it really worth putting resources and ecosystems at risk in order to chase the architectural and technological advances that society expects?

1. Destroying ecosystems in order to progress in the architecture and technology of the cities, we may lose essential elements for the human being life, such as clean air, water and healthy land.

2. Although advances in architecture and technology are good, the cost of making harms in the planet is bigger than the benefits that urbanization can bring.

3. It is possible to grow and modernize the society, but in ways that respect nature and protect resources.

Question 3:

- In what ways could society balance technological progress with the responsibility of protecting the environment?

1. Society can use solar, wind, and other renewable sources to reduce pollution while developing new technology.

2. Urban projects can include more green spaces, sustainable transport, and buildings that save water and energy.

3.
