I think Marguerite has been saved, overall. There are obviously some moments that will negatively affect her but she will be able to overcome them. Marguerite has her child at the end of the book and this seems the ensure Marguerite that everything is alright. I think this is the moment where she is truly saved.

Maya has been saved with the birth of her son. Before he was born, Maya was untrustworthy of herself. Once she has a son, she learns to trust herself and those around her in order to take care of her son. So, Maya's son has saved her by making Maya trust herself with him.

I think Maya has been saved as a person when she moves to San Francisco. There are many events that occur in San Francisco that save her. One of the many examples is when Maya's son is born. When her son is born, Maya realizes that she must be more responsible and she learns to trust herself.
