Definition: The Red Flag Appeal To Authority is when individuals believe that certain people who are in a position of power or authority in a certain subject are correct, or their mindset is to be followed. Appeal to authority often relates to celebrities, authors, athletes, etc.
Connection: The most relatable example for me would simply be Air Jordan's. The fact that the best basketball player, at the time, was releasing shoes that claimed to make you jump higher was an outrageous claim to make however they ended up selling a crazy amount due to the number of kids that viewed Micheal Jordan as an authority figure.

Definition: Proof by Verbosity is the infliction of others to an argument or belief that is too extensive therefore presume it to be true
Connection: From the beginning of time, we as humans have celebrated many different things, and one of the most popular traditions being Christmas. Which is the birth of Christ however, many children know it as Santa Claus. The story is magical for young children, almost to good to be true. The question being often asked; "Do you Believe?", "Is Santa Real?". The story being to complicated to give a real answer to the children, it becomes an innocent misleading tale.

Definition: Simplicity is an easy, however realistic, form of thinking that is completely opposite of Critical Thinking. Simplicity is often confused as the easy way out however many great scientists explain that in everyday life the most simple answer is usually the right answer. As shown in "Rationality, Belief and Commitment" written by Richard Foley Simplicity often fights with reasoning with evidence to create the perfect middle ground.
Connection: Math is the perfect example of simplicity. Some people see math equations and spend hours until they get the answer, however some folks look at it and find the fastest and most simple way, finding the answer in minutes.
