         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><sup>Purpose:</sup></strong><sup> Examine phonological development of typically developing ELL's.<br></sup><strong><sup>Method</sup></strong><sup>: 19 Canadian, ELL students aged 4.9- 7.6 years old, participated in in-home visits, where speech samples were transcribed.<br></sup><strong><sup>Results</sup></strong><sup>: Accuracy for all six manner classes was generally high; stops, nasals, affricates, and glides (but not liquids and fricatives).<br></sup><strong><sup>Conclusion: "</sup></strong><sup>The participants who arrived earlier and were exposed to English earlier tended to have higher accuracy scores and lower percentages of errors."
