The structure of womanhood is very prominent even now and saying that we should just be different and act different goes against the fact that forced into a social structure given to us and to be seen a certain way, as desirable, is a feeling most people want, so we fall into conventional structures even if we don't want to, because otherwise we face complications in just trying to live a normal life. Professional women shave, wear makeup, brush their hair, speak perfect English, can wear heels and nice clothes.
