1. Postive Word Design

For this assignment we had to choose a word that we wanted to focus on for the year. The word I choose is confidence as you can see here. I choose this word because I feel like this this something I lack and could definitely work on. I choose to do it in a bubble letter type of font and I made is colorful. I used the colors pink, green, blue, and yellow in this order.

3. Self Portait Pre-Test

For the pre-test we had to take a photos of ourselves and draw ourselves based on that photo. I feel like my self protait could have used a bit more detail. My self portait looks it bit cartoony and isnt really realistic. I rarely ever draw people so I think I did a decent job. I think it could have been better if I had looked at my photo more.

4. Self Portait Gridded Photo

This photo was taken so that I could do my self portait drawing. The gids in this photo are there so that when I did my self portait, I could use the grids to make it easier to draw. The photo was orginally had color but was printed out in black and white. The photo is in black and white so that I could had shading to my portait. I had to letter and number each grid on the photo so that I could know what section is what.

5. Self portait drawing

I really liked my self portait because it is probably one of the most realistic drawings that I have done. For the self portatit drawing I had to use the Grid photo taken of me to draw this. It would have been nice to finish the drawing but I had run out of time. For the backround, I used my initials to make the desgin. What made drawing my self portait easier was the grids on my photo and my paper, it helped me with keeping track of what section I was doing.

6. Chiaroscuro

This assignment was full of shading and blending. I used a ebony pencil for this and piece of a paper towl to be able to blend in the pencil. When shading in the boxes, I had to go from lightest to darkets on each row. For the sphere I drew the spheres shadow in the oppisite side of where the light would be. I found it kind of hard at first because we couldnt leave any trace of the lines in the sphere drawing, on the lines had to blended out.

8. Painted Disk

On the painted disk I feel like I could have done a better job in adding value. I feel like the painting just looks plan and I would have liked to have added more detail. I did struggle in trying to make the stuff in the painting look more 3rd so I feel like I could have worked more on that. Other than that I feel like I did a decent job. My disk is supposed to the South Carolina's Harbour.

7. Painted Disk Planning

For the disk plannig, I had to sketch out 3 disks each with a different desgin. Each design had to be related or represent South Carolina or York County. My 1st sketch is the SC Harbour and thats the on I choose to do on my disk. On my 2nd disk I drew a boykin spanial and for my last disk I did a white tailed deer. The one I liked the most and feel like I did the best on is my 1st disk.

9. Color Sheme worksheet

For this assignment the main focus was the color wheel. In order to make some colors, I had to mix some primary and secondary colors together to make tertiarty colors. An example is green and blue which makes a blue green. To make secondary colors, I had to mix a 2 primaries, for example red and blue make violet. I wasn't able to finish the assignmnet but I think that what I did get done is good
