         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Chapter 4: The Idea of Boxing</strong><br><br><strong>New Characters</strong>:<br><br><em>Harry Crown</em>: The Jewish shop keeper who sells Mevrou "takies" (shoes) for Peekay. He also gives Peekay a bunch of "suckers" or lollipops. <br><br><em>Hoppie Groenewald</em>: He is one of the guards on the train and inspires Peekay to try boxing lessons.<br><br>Anna: The waitress Hoppie flirts with.<br><br><strong>Main Plot Events</strong>:<br><br>1. Peekay gets his first pair of shoes with Mevrou.<br>2. Peekay gets on the train and makes friends with Hoppie Groenwald (the guard who inspires him to take boxing lessons).<br>3.
