Cailyn- Chickens that live in tropical areas have been genetically modified to be bred without feathers. The hot days in the tropics makes it hard fo a chicken with feathers to cool off. Breeding chickens without feathers is useful in many ways. They don't have to be kept in cooling houses, the risk of any bug or dieses that come with feathers is taken away, and when they are ready to be cooked the plucking process doesn't have to take place. All these things make it cheaper and quicker to produce chicken.
