Closeness is developed over time, and its value to the ear is absolute". I agree with Ratliff's point of view and take on the musical element closeness because I feel like it can be unappreciated because you can not physically see it, so some people might not pay attention to it because they can not see it. Some people are visual people who believe only what they can see with their own eyes if they can not see it it must not exist, which is not always true, but that is how they see it.
