If it had been me with my lips stuck on something like this he’d have tortured me for a couple of days before he ever got help. Not me, though, I nearly broke my neck trying to get into the house to rescue Byron. I think that this shows how Kenny really feels about Byron. The older one got an even bigger smile on his face and waved really hard at everybody, the little shrunk-up version of him smiled and did the same thing. Then they said, “Hiya, y’all!” And I knew that here was someone that would be easier for the kids to make fun of then me!
And sure enough everyone started laughing. As they came over and decided to sit next to me, I just there and looked at them sideways.’ I think that the author included this in the book because it mentioned how judgmental everyone is and how Kenny gets made fun of. I wanted to knock on his door and tell him “I am different,” but I was too embarrassed so I walked my dinosaurs back home.’ I think the author included this to show more about Kenny and his personality. He could’ve knocked on the door and apologized but it was too hard for him because of how embarrassed he was. That shows that Kenny is a shy person.
