Proud moments as a Early childhood Educator.

Being a childcare educator makes me proud because I get to support children during important moments in their development. I feel proud when I see children learn new skills, like when a child writes their name for the first time or learns how to share with a friend. I also take pride in creating a safe and caring environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves. For example, comforting a child who is upset and helping them calm down reminds me that my support makes a difference. Knowing that I help children grow in confidence, kindness, and independence is what I am most proud of as a childcare educator

What I am most proud of in my role as an Early Childhood Education teacher is being able to teach children numbers, the alphabet, and colors in both English and Inuinnaqtun. It makes me happy to see the children learning and repeating the songs and words. Teaching them both languages helps them learn and stay connected to their culture while also learning English.

I am also proud of myself for continuing in this job, even when I almost gave up. There were times when the work felt difficult, but my co-workers supported me and encouraged me to keep going. Because of their support, I stayed and continued teaching the children. I feel proud that I did not give up and that I can help the children learn and grow every day.

Michelle

One of the things I am most proud of as an Early Childhood Educator is seeing children grow and succeed by the end of their preschool year. It is very rewarding to watch them develop new skills, gain confidence, and become more independent. Teaching daily routines, such as cleaning up, sharing, and preparing for transitions, helps children build important life skills.

I also take pride in sharing my knowledge and experiences with my colleagues so that we can continue to support the children together as a team.

I have always loved being around children. Growing up as the second oldest among my siblings, I naturally took on the role of a big sister. I often helped care for and guide the younger ones, which helped shape my passion for working with children. This experience played an important role in inspiring me to become an Early Childhood Educator

-Jocelyn

It is truly a blessing to watch them grow, learn, and achieve something new. Each milestone is a special moment that reminds me why I am so passionate about what I do.

Colleen

Im most proud of the children learning as the days go by, coming to the daycare and making an everyday routine that these children need in their life, you see them by succeeding if they come in everyday. Watch them learn crafts making, scissor skills, learning good manners and respect. Most importantly, seeing them going from toddler room to preschool room as the years go by, growing to be great young people. Very proud to watch them grow!

Megan

What i am most proud of in my role as an Early Childhood Educator is watching the children grow and learning new things everyday, from learning to stand, or sharing toys. When new children come to the centre my biggest achievement is getting them to nap! Sometimes it can be difficult but that’s something the children get used to.

I’ve been at CBCS for almost a year and seeing the children who were on the infants side move up makes me so happy, watching them grow and learning is a big milestone for them.

I love how we build a connection with each and every child, they can rely on you when they’re upset, happy, tired etc

Shalyne
