For GlowStep Shoes, we would integrate augmented reality (AR) technology as an impactful digital tool to enhance customer experience. GlowStep Shoes can allow customers to virtually try on sneakers through smart mirrors. Customers can stand in front of a mirror and virtually try on different sneaker designs, colours, and styles in real time. Each smart mirror is estimated to cost around RM50,000, making it a high-investment technology. This enhances product visualisation and creates an interactive shopping experience, allowing customers to experiment with styles without physically changing shoe

I think the most affordable technology is Theme 4: Mobile and social. This is because smartphones, apps, social media, and web browsers are already part of most people’s daily life. The article explains that consumers use their phones almost all day for messaging, shopping, reading reviews, paying bills, and using apps, so this technology is more common and easier for firms to use.

I think the most premium technology is Theme 5: In-store retail technology. This is because it includes advanced tools such as augmented reality, virtual reality, embodied robots, avatars, smart displays, and smart mirrors. These technologies create a more special and interactive shopping experience, but they also seem more expensive to install and maintain in physical stores. This is my inference based on the examples in the article.

Hi Madam Komathi, for my area of business whereby social media agency, my terms in affordable technology can be found in Theme 4 which is Mobile and Social, because it requires minimal cost and resources. This makes it highly accessible for small business even my business PulseSocial Media Agency. Example the basic tools of interaction index in Tiktok and Instagram and low advertising budget to reach a certain audience. Roughly cost about RM 500-RM 1500 for a mobile fone.

Hence for a premium technology for me is Theme 2 : AI and Robotics whereby I can use DJI drones for my business. Whereby it cost only for RM 2999- RM3999 depends on the model. I can use drone to shoot videos for clients such as real estate clients, tourism events. Premium because its involve higher cost than Theme 4.

Theme 4 can be considered premium affordable as the platform use is your devices. Based on Grawel (2020), businesses can use social medias as a way to engage with the customers and understand its consumers based on the reviews. Additionally, a way to promote and advertise their products. As a basis, a good device (either mobile phones or pc) vary around RM3~5k per.

We believe that Theme 5 (In-store technology) is the most premium technology between all the other themes. They include augmented reality, embodied robots, avatars, and smart displays. These features provide a personalised and special experience for shoppers, and they aren't cheap to integrate into the business. Yes, we will use this technology; our business falls under the F&B industry, and we want to bring a new experience to our customers in order to help the business increase in sales, and retain customers. We will use digital point systems, and CRM to analyse our customers and give out personalised offers. To customer a digital point system is expensive for the business, and can go up to few thousands.

Theme 5 can be the most affordable and premium technology for my hiking shoes company. Similar to Rebecca’s mirror, we can install three dimensional mirror that shows real hiking trail. In addition to that, we can install textured treadmill that actually moves. This helps customers feel like they are really walking. We can save our budget by using projector to show videos, and by using order made treadmill. It will cost less that RM10,000.

This is because smartphones, apps, and social media are already widely used in daily life, so businesses can adopt them easily without high cost. Consumers use their mobile devices frequently for browsing, shopping, and interacting online, which makes this technology practical and accessible for businesses .

Yes, I would integrate this technology into my matcha café. I would use platforms like Instagram and TikTok to promote my drinks, share aesthetic content, and attract more customers. I would also use mobile-based tools such as WhatsApp or online ordering systems to make it easier for customers to place orders and communicate with the café. These technologies help improve customer engagement and marketing while keeping costs low.

For my skincare start up Solera, I think that Theme 5: In-store retail technology is the most suitable. Being a skincare company, Solera can invest in a beauty mirror which scans the user's skin type (dry, combination, oily), and any skin issues (pigmentation, acne, wrinkles). With this information, the mirror will suggest the best product line for the customer's issue areas. I think that this is investment has high returns because, while one beauty mirror costs approximately RM5,000, it can be used as a hook for new customers. This will also enhance the customer's shopping experience and reduce the possibility of buying the wrong type of product.
