When I was younger, I couldn’t remember a Sunday when I wasn’t there, or the early Saturday morning where my mom and I would go and make breakfast for the less fortunate. That was a point in my life where I was extremely close to God; anticipating the time of the year when it was time for VBS or during Christmastime when we would go caroling to those in the hospital. (Philippians 4:13) There's been instances when things my parents tell me go though one ear and out the other. This is something that has stuck with me and become a mantra of a sort. My siblings have been with me from day one to guide me in the right direction. Since we are all under a span of 10 years, there has always been someone there mature enough to help me make good choices.
