Threshold Guardian

My threshold guardian would have been my older brother. I remember that I was in the kitchen counter worrying about having so much homework which made me think that I was never going to finish. So I was whining about it to my brother and he told me to not stress about it now. He said that in high school it would be much worse because I would either being staying up at midnight or even past midnight doing homework. Especially if I was going to take honor classes.He was doing what a threshold guardian does;testing the hero's courage before beginning their journey.He was bringing me down and scaring me about beginning high school before I actually started high school.

Challenges

One of the challenges that I had to face was taking my first big exam for my history class. It was one of the most nerve-recking moments of my life. I was so nervous because right away when I got the exam I didn't even know the answer to the first question and I thought to myself that I was not going to do well. And I didn't because I procrastinated and didn't study when I said that I was going to. Hero's have to go through challenges each day to succeed in the smaller challenges involving their bigger quest.

Transformation

My transformation was when I realized that I couldn't but of things to the last minute anymore. I knew that all of the decisions that I had to make during high school would affect my future either positively or negatively way, but I was all on how I handled the choices coming my way. Just like a hero you have to realize some point in your life that thing have to be taken seriously and that you need to grow up at one point as well.

Temptations

Some temptations that I had during my first semester was when two of my cousins started to message me about going to the park and hang out. I didn't give them an answer right away because I knew that I had quite a bit of homework.So I told them that I would if I finished my homework in time. In the end I didn't end up going because I still hadn't finished and I promised myself that I wouldn't get tempted with things that would distract me from school. Hero's also have their own temptations as well and they have to figure out what's right from wrong.

Marida's Threshold Guardian

Marida's threshold guardian would have to be her mom because Marida wants to be an independent young lady but her mom won't let her. She brings Marida down with every decision that she makes regarding her future. And she always stops her from achieving something that isn't passed my her first.

Merida's Temptations

One of the temptations that Merida had to face was when she saw a little ball of blue light and she decided to follow it and see where it led her or at least where she ended up. There was also a time when there were these men doling for her hand in marriage and she was tempted to go down there and show them how you shoot an arrow, but her mother wouldn't let; she did it anyways.

Her Challenge

One of the biggest challenge that Marida had to go through was when she turned her mom into a bear and everyone in the village wanted to kill her. She had to protect her mom from them and turn her back to normal.

Marida's Transformation

Marida realized that she needed to be more mature, her mom expected her to be an adult and she going to start acting like one. She was so relieved when she was able to turn her mother back to normal. She felt guilty that because of some foolish fight that happened between her and her mom everything went wrong. But she was able to grow from that mistake and move on.
