         <description><![CDATA[<div>The major thought surrounding this concept and project was to bring educators together in a time of extreme unrest.  Building the capacity of empathy and happiness for the educational community is a major.  Educators are one of the few professions that had to manage, uplift, and transition into a total new work atmosphere.  The thought behind this was to provide educators with a space to let their hair down.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Maslow’s hierarchy of Needs: This theory postulates that in order for any individual to reach true self-actualization that they must go through different stages.  These stages include physiological needs, safety, love and belonging, esteem, self-actualization. Due to the state of society, many people outside of educators had their sense of normalcy and safety taken away from them.  My hopes are that this project can bring back some form of comfortability and fun.  Potentially almost recharging these educators for the tough road ahead.<br><br>Amabile’s Time and Pressure Theory: This theory postulates that there is a direct correlation between time, pressure and creativity.  This theory is broken down into four different forms of stress:<br>The treadmill: High Pressure, Little Importance<br>The automatic pilot: Low Pressure, Little Importance<br>The expedition: Low Pressure, High Importance<br>The mission: High Pressure, High Importance</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Due to the overwhelming outcry to continue the zoom session, we continued the battle for 2 hours.  Educators seemed to really enjoy the break from reality.  They also created a sense of belonging and community in the short time that they were in the session.  They created commonalities and bonds through music and similar experiences in the past and current times.  The researcher's hypothesis was correct in terms of educators needing a space to calm down, enjoy themselves, and relax. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>During the creation of this project I  did not expect to have such a strong attendance.  Next time the researcher should set a limit of the number of participants.<br><br>Learning as we create, when having a zoom session such as this, the researcher should create a password and a waiting room.  Doing this allows the researcher to know who is in the session and also being mindful of the number of participants.<br><br>At the conclusion of the battle, both DJ's were asked for the playlists that they created.  Although we had them on our phone, moving forward, maybe putting each song played in the chat for all to see.<br><br>When recording and allowing zoom to save it to the cloud, also use a secondary audio device.  As the researcher, I  became overly frustrated with trying to cut and save the video and ended up deleting a nice amount on accident.</div>]]></description>
