Photo: Here's a Nissan Leaf, Renault Zoe and Nissan e-NV200 parked up in Sheffield. I don't drive, but it looks like most people do, so what do you know about electric cars?

I started watching Top Gear again since they got rid of Chris Evans, and saw some of Rory Reid's segments on electric cars. Always followed by the part you know is coming, where the other presenters chip in and say 'ohhh, sorry I'm not convinced..'

Considering how the industry is changing though, they're missing something important.

Noticing what was missing from Top Gear, Robert Llewellyn (you may know him as Kryten from Red Dwarf, or as the host of Scrapheap Challenge) was inspired to start a series called Fully Charged. It's meant to be informative but it's also quite watchable, I think.

https://youtu.be/LEIzORzvbdQ
Here's one about the Renault Zoe. I enjoyed the little dig at Donald Trump half way through. It's all on Youtube by the way.

Climate change science warns that we have to act urgently and move towards a carbon neutral society, but that's hardly in the news either, despite important people from all kinds of backgrounds rightly saying we're in an emergency situation. The good news is, clean energy related technology has seen such great improvements that it's starting to drive that change away from fossil fuels, even before we've had any policy changes to encourage the transition.
