Shawn is the CEO of Good Think Inc. He is a researcher and teacher about Positive psychology. In my class or any class happiness should be a required presence. Shawn explains that happiness should not be over the cognitive horizon as a benchmark to reach. We need to scan the world/environment of positives first, instead of the opposite. Positive in the present equals success. This mindset could influence many students positively in a hands on problem solving class where problem failures can occur, as long as the positives of the failure are realized and taught.

His belief is that creativity is killed by worrying more about being wrong than about learning through output. It provides a collection of reviews, lesson plans, suggested applications, and professional development ideas. A few posts I read about were about technology in SPED. One in particular that fascinated me was about a robot called Milo that can help children with Autism learn better because it teaches the social and emotional aspects through the lessons at a slower pace (and as curriculum available for ages K-12). So neat!
