Tornadoes start as massive strong storms called super cells.Heat causes the air to rise quickly and the air changes directions and moves quicker. Huge clouds form to help the tornado grow stronger throughout the storm. Air circulation starts the tornado. Tornadoes are rapidly moving spiraling columns of air.
