One of the most important things to keep in mind while in Sudan was to respect its Islamic customs: dressing modestly, greeting people kindly, and following local traditions. Sudan is also a country experiencing conflicts, so it’s important to be cautious about safety.

During my trip, I visited several important cities besides Khartoum. In Omdurman, I explored one of the largest and most vibrant markets, full of spices, fabrics, and handicrafts. In Port Sudan, located on the Red Sea coast, I found beaches, coral reefs, and an atmosphere very different from the desert.
