Teresa performs stand-up comedy and is part of the all-female comedy group, "The Ladies of Native Comedy:' Teresa promotes culture and language in her community. She is part of a group dedicated to reviving traditional pottery making in her Nation.          <description><![CDATA[<p><em><sup>Since the charter was established in 1972, the American Legion Post has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, they continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country.  The post's namesake was born in Sacaton and grew up&nbsp;on the Gila River Indian Reservation in Bapchule, Arizona.On February 23rd, 1945 a picture was taken that changed Ira's life forever.&nbsp; During the WWII battle on the tiny island of Iwo Jima, an American Flag was raised on a high point of Mount Suribachi.&nbsp; Ira went to help his comrades raise the flag and became a part of of one of the most famous photographs in history.&nbsp; This photograph of six men raising the flag went on to become a symbol for rallying the American public towards victory.</sup></em></p><p>Contact Information:</p><p><a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="mailto:ihpost84@gilanet.net">ihpost84@gilanet.net</a></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Lynnann is the Deputy Associate Superintendent for the Office of Indian Education at the Arizona Department of Education.&nbsp; A Navajo from Chinle, Arizona, Lynnann is To’aheedliinii (Water Flows Together Clan), Ma’ii deeshgiizhinii (Coyote Pass Clan), Ta’neeszahnii (Tangle Clan), and Kiyaa’aanii (Towering House Clan).&nbsp;&nbsp; Ms. Yazzie received a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Mathematics and Education as well as a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University. Lynnann spent 7 years in the classroom teaching Mathematics, Computer Science and Robotics. In addition to teaching, she also coached volleyball and softball. Prior to joining ADE, Lynnann served as the Native American Specialist for Phoenix Union High School District, Chairperson of the Indian Education Advisory Council, Communications Secretary for the Arizona Indian Education Association, and Project Coordinator for United National Indian Tribal Youth, Inc. In 2023, Dr. Molina assisted in the indigenizing of the Four Domains for Rapid School Improvement and authored an article titled, "Walking in Two Worlds; Supporting the Indigenous Student".  Prior to joining WestEd, Dr. Molina served as a Tribal Education Director in Southern Arizona and provided consultation services to tribal communities and schools focused on increasing academic achievement.</p>]]></description>

He earned a Master’s Degree in Music Performance from the University of Arizona in 1997, has taught at all educational levels from elementary through college, and serves as a competition adjudicator.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Berdina Riggs is a second year student at Northern Arizona University, majoring in Electrical Engineering, and is a Xavier College Preparatory alumna. Berdina is Navajo, Hopi, and enrolled in the San Carlos Apache tribe. She is a part of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), The NAU council of indigenous ambassadors, and the NAU club softball team. Prior to university, she was an executive member of the F.I.N.A.L youth council affiliated with the Phoenix Indian Center.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Travis Holt Hamilton has one goal in filmmaking; to produce twelve feature films before he calls himself a real 'filmmaker'. Despite having produced five theatrically released feature films to date, Hamilton considers himself a minor leaguer still trying to make it full time in the big leagues. For whatever reasons, twelve films will help make that happen.  Hamilton has produced five feature-length films and one documentary: Turquoise Rose (2007), Blue Gap Boy'z (2008), Pete &amp; Cleo (2010), Oreland C.
