For this session, we only had one participant. I think the timing for the session was off since in the ECU region most CTE teachers were engaged in CTE exams this week along with assisting in helping teachers administer teacher-made test as well.
The teacher who did show was very receptive of the information that we shared with her.
For the next session, I may see if offering the session twice will increase attendance.

We had two participants to attend! One was attending the session while tending to two newborns AND a toddler all by himself! Kudos to him! The teachers were appreciative of the information presented. One teacher expressed how she was going to implement a strategy that was shared right away. Of course we would have LOVED to have had more participants. It's just so hard to gauge with ALL teachers are juggling these days!

We had 2 participants attend. The teachers that attended appreciated how applicable the close reading strategy in SS was. While feedback was positive we have had 4 teachers total attend between the first CKG session, 2 institute sessions and the 2nd CKG session.
While we understand that every coaches situation is different, however it is really frustrating to be in schools full time 5 days a week and plan extra events for teachers across the state and have low attendance. We emailed ahead of time, sent a survey and previewed topics. What was discussed within our content knowledge session could be discussed by the teachers individual coach and not require additional work from other regions.

We had no participants attend for the last two sessions. We were personally disappointed that we didn't have more participants, but not surprised. As a coach who spends hours in school buildings every week, I can tell you that the timing was definitely off for this meeting.

Is this a service that teachers have identified that they want?
Which teachers have identified that this is something of interest? (If it is just CTE and EC CKG then let's be responsive to that data) Do we know that this is something that teachers want this year?

I KNOW that the information we share is important, and helpful. I KNOW that they would learn from the information shared. But without engagement, it isn't the best use of coaches' time.

With more coaches in each session than participants, I can't help but wonder if the timing is off for these meetings. Perhaps this isn't the year to start something like this or maybe the sessions need to be adjusted to better meet the needs of the participants. Either way, preparing for the PDs and setting aside multiple PD dates to have so few attend may not be the best use of coaches' time.

We did not have any teachers attend our session. We did not expect many teachers to join for many of the reasons mentioned in the other group posts. We will reflect on the timing and consider offering this session in early Jan. if that is acceptable to the program.

Adreian and I are planning some type of asynchronous activity in Jan. to kick off the new semester.

We had 4 teachers attend the last session. The teachers appreciated the information and contribute to the discussion.
I'm wondering if creating an asynchronous activity for the next session would get more participation. This could allow teachers to participate at a time that fits their schedule.
