Learning goal: Children will be able to recognize the farm animals and imitate their sounds

Materials:
- Farm animal puppets
- Farm animal figurines
- Rebus song chart: Old McDonald had a Farm
- Book: Touch and Feel Animal book
- Ipad & Speaker

Activity:
- Gather babies to circle time area
- Greet the babies and sing Good Morning song
- Introduce the song 'Old McDonald had a farm' to the babies. When the song is on a particular farm animal, T. uses the puppets to imitate the sound.
- After the song, T. introduces the book to the children and stops at certain pages which emphasizes on farm animals and their sounds
- T. then proceed to show the animal figurines and encourage children to imitate their sound i.e. Cow - moo moo
- T. allow children time to play with the animal figurines.
- T. to stop activity when children loses interest.
- T. thank children for their participation.

Questions:
1) What animal is this?
2) What sound does this animal make?
3) What does this animal like to do? i.e. pigs roll in mud, hen lay eggs
4) What is the colour of this animal?

Extension:
- Create a large cow figurine for babies to milk
- Paste cotton wool on sheep cut-outs
- Explore mud i.e. flour, brown paint and tissue
- Water play with rubber ducks
- Hunt for chicken eggs
- Identify the animal biscuit
