Behvioural adaptation: hunting in groups to catch faster prey (keep warm while hunting :) )

Owls have strong eyesight to catch the prey in the night.

Owls hunt at night so that the prey cannot see them.

Structural: Gills to breathe under water

have bigger ears.the ears are bigger, so there is more exposed surface area of the body in contact with the cooler surroundings. so, the body will gain heat from the cooler surroundings faster, allowing the desert fox to keep cooler.

Hedgehogs have spikes all over their body which will protect them from predators because the predators cannot tear through the spikes and the spikes would hurt the predators.

Hedgehogs are active at night/nocturnal so that it can avoid detection by predators.

• It camouflages with the snow so that they are not easily spotted by the predators

Struc,they have ears that lay back to their body .thus there will be less exposed surface area of the body in contact with the cooler surrounding air ,thus the body would lose heat slower to the surroundings ,allowing the arctic hare to keep warm during the winter.

Behav,burrow or hide in the snow and their white fur can camouflage with the white snow preventing prey from spotting it .increasing the chances for the hare to catch it and feed on it for food.

The desert fox has big ears to lose heat through sweat during the day when it leaves its burrow. To obtain air food and water

Behavioural adaptation

At night condensation also occurs at a faster rate when the warmer water vapour in the air touches the cooler surface of the leaves it loses heat and condenses to form water for the fox to drink. Sleeps in burrows during the day and when it is cooler at night it will come out and hunt for food. :):):):)

Desert fox

Structural:Its long ears to help it lose more heat to the surroundings

Behavioral:It often hides in a burrows during the day and hunts at night as at night it is not so hot

Polar bear look for holes in the ice where seals come up to breathe and the polar bears will catch them.
