         <description><![CDATA[<p>Group 1 metals form positively charged ions having a charge of +1 when they lose 1 valence electrons. These metals are all a part of Periods 2,3,4,5,6,7. </p><p>These metals are Lithium, Sodium, Potassium, Rubidium, Cassium and Firancium.</p><p><br/></p><p>The boiling and melting point of the metals decrease down the group. For example, Lithium has the highest boiling point of 1342 degrees celcius, and Caesium has the lowest boiling point of 671 degrees celcius.</p><p>On the other hand, the chemical reactivity and also density increases down the group.</p>]]></description>
