China and India have a similar problem, but their countries are different. What are the main differences between those two countries?

The main differences between China and India include religion, waste management, technology, and economy. First, India generally has a more religious population. Most citizens practice some form of religion devoutly. However, China has a majority of atheist citizens who practice ancestorial worship. Next, China is generally considered cleaner than India, as India has extremely dense cities, without proper waste management and cleaning. Also, China is considered more technologically advanced, as it is an extremely modern country. Finally, China has a much larger economy and much more global power than India does.

- Pollution
Pollution has been caused by road vehicles, heating, the use of coal, charcoal, oil or gas fuels to generate electricity and heat, biomass burning, waste disposal and tobacco smoke.

- Overuse of natural resources
This is consuming resources that we cannot replenish or that cannot sustain themselves at the rate we are consuming them. Often an area will be stripped of all non-renewable resources when overpopulated.

- Increased Demands
When the population increases, there will be an increase in demand for thinhgs like "food, water, housing, energy, healthcare, transportation, and more. And all that consumption contributes to ecological degradation, increased conflicts, and a higher risk of large-scale disasters like pandemics." (populationmedia.org)

Since Japan is much less overpopulated than China and India, it is not as deeply affected by these issues right now. However, that does not mean it doesn't still have them.

Pollution -
Currently, Japan is being very innovative in ways to prevent air and water pollution. It is leading the world in "the percentage of waste utilized in waste-to-energy facilities, burning an impressive 74.2 percent of its municipal solid waste in energy recovery systems."

Resources -
Japan has very few resources to start with. Oil, gold, copper, etc. are scarce. Instead, it relies upon imports from other countries.

Increased Demand -
This is a big issue in Japan. The economy is under strain as there is a big need for things like power, electricity, and building resources. Japan has to import all these things.

The rivers and air are almost unusable and often cause severe illnesses and death in citizens.

Resources-
With the shocking number of people living in such a small area, the resources in India have been depleted, as (populationassociation.org) says, "India is having 18 percent of the world's population on 2.4 percent of its land area has a great deal of pressure on its natural resources. Water shortages, soil exhaustion, deforestation, air, and water pollution afflict many areas."

Supply-Demand Strain-
There are so many people in India and it is growing so quickly that more food, water, and power than ever are needed. India is struggling to keep up with these demands.

These issue of pollution has been worked on for quite some time. The worry of global warming has created a strong need for new solutions. There have been many solutions created, some of which have worked, some of which have not.

Solution 1 -
Japan has been working hard at creating clean energy. It has started making waste-to-energy programs that help limit pollution.

Solution 2-
Electric cars help reduce carbon emissions and prevent pollution.

Solution 3-
Alternative energy has been used recently to help reduce carbon emissions as well.

Solution 4-
Recycling helps reduce water pollution and industrial emissions.

Solution 5-
There are laws in place restricting vehicles and activities that increase fuel emissions, water pollution, and general harm to the environment.

It may even improve depending on how well the new systems work.

Japan -
Japan is expected to improve its pollution levels. There are many extensive ideas in place and in the works that will almost definitely reduce pollution drastically.

India -
India's pollution is extremely bad.

The citizens of China and Japan will need to adapt to their new green lifestyle, recycling more, using more electric powered vehicles, and conserving water. However, when this has happened their countries will become very clean and less polluted. This will make life healthier and better for the citizens.

The citzens of India, if they continue on the path they are on, will be living in an almost uninhabitable country. The pollution levels will lead to more sicknesses, disease, and danger than ever before. The people living within will be subject to life threatening toxins every day.

In order to help solve the pollution problem is to install "Eco-Buildings" in all the big cities.

These buildings will have two sections. One corporate section, where a trained team will work. The first department will be the People's Department. They will do jobs such as leading clean-ups in the city, speaking at schools and public events about the importance of keeping the city clean, and organizing fundraisers. The next department will be the Development Department. They will design new eco-friendly products, install renewable energy sources, and create ways to filter waste water/polluted air. The last department will be the Oversight Department. They will be responsible for multiple Eco-Buildings in multiple cities, and are responsible for organizing the funds, building awareness campaigns that will reach other countries in hope of more help, and working with the big corporations and factories in hope of reducing their pollution impact.

The second section will be the Helping Center. This is for the citizens in the cities. It will have a recycling area where people are rewarded for bringing their trash and plastic. There will be clean bathrooms and showers so people will not use the rivers. There will also be fresh water and washing machines to help people.
