During your holidays/weekend have you (with your friends/family) ever visited a NATURAL RESERVE or a PARK ZOO/ANIMAL PARK /ANIMAL SANCTUARY/ETC MUSEUM? Choose a visit you enjoyed .Do you still remember it? NATURAL RESERVE/ PARK ZOO/ANIMAL PARK /ANIMAL SANCTUARY/MUSEUM Facilities? Guides? Organised tours? Why was the tour enjoyable – what did they do right? Did you (OR your children) take part to any interactive activities? How did you find the signs/information boards/etc? Was it informative? Did you learn any facts/figures? Anything else you were impressed with?

In January 2023, my friend and I attended the Highland wildlife park in the Highlands near Aviemore. Throughout the park, it was well sign posted with a vast amount of information on all of the different types of wildlife, which helped me expand on my animal knowledge. I learned a lot I did not previously know. The best part of the wildlife park for me was the Polar bear sanctuary, where a staff member carried out a lengthy informative discussion providing information about the polar bears. This wildlife park provided a lot of information, however, also gave me a lot of freedom in terms of being able to drive around in the drive thru section of the park. I would highly recommend visiting this wildlife park where the animals are well looked after and is an overall educational but fun day out.

in june 2023, me and my family went on a trip to Edinburgh Zoo, its a well laid out park with many facilities available such as toilets placed throughout the park and many cafes which were fair priced and easy to find. the tour around the zoo was very informative which was intresting as i found out information about some of the animals , we went over to the penguin island where there was loads of penguins swimming and eating fish. the zoo was very well signed with information boards showing what directions it was to see the tigers ect. this was a really enjoyable experience with my family, and all the animals are well looked after

During summer I went to the safari park with my family. Throughout the park there was lots of signage and maps showing where all the animals are and where to find all the facilities. The facilities within the park were really good with lots of bathrooms throughout, lots of options for food and many gift shops. During certain times of the day there was animal talks and feedings you could watch and learn about all the different animals and see them get fed. the keepers were all very informative and could answer any questions you had about the animals. Finding everything in the park and the animals was fairly easy as there was really good signage and maps all around. the safari drive through was really fun with all the monkeys running around and there is also a birds of prey flying display where you can learn loads about different types of birds and the sea lions and penguins were really cute!!!!!!!
E M
