During the 1980s, the sale of home computers across America boomed from 3 million units to nearly 10 million units between 1982 and 1987. This soared to 20 million units in the final year of the 80s.

Positive - This technological boom along with the introduction of the internet into American homes set anew frontier for business. This demand produced new and exciting job opportunities across the states, which once were not existent.

1990 - Pocket Technology.

The phones now described as being from the dinosaur age and seen as bricks were once a sign of wealth and great technological advancement. The phones of the 1990s may seem massive to us now but these were actually a smaller version of those in the 1980 - and had been designed with portable technology in mind. From the brick-sized cellular handsets of the 1980s, the development of the RISC microprocessor meant that complex functions could be performed without needing large batteries. Positive - Teenagers having access to their own device, taught them responsibility and budget. The Nokia 3210 released in 1999 became a teenage fashion item. Before the Introduction of Youtube in 2005, It was not only difficult but expensive to distribute video. Youtube essentially made this free for everyone.

2010 - Renting a movie from a store? That's so last decade.

The hype of Netflix in 2010s allowed households to conveniently. ad-free watch a film there and then. Variety is another significant advantage. We, as consumers, get access to a plethora of different TV shows, movies, and documentaries. Since there are different streaming services; they are putting a lot of effort into creating original content to attract more customers. (Development,2024)

But this ease and convenience comes at a cost. Are we become impatient and lazy due to this? 2 – Addiction with Streaming

Addiction can also be a problem. So, if you get into the habit of watching too many TV shows or movies; it is possible to lose interest in other activities. So, sitting in front of a computer or TV all day is not good for your health. Add the fact that you will likely be eating and drinking, and it becomes clear how such addiction can snowball and cause you health issues. (Development,2024)

The Wonka Chocolate Experience is a prime example that we should not rely on Artificial Intelligence to create a script and poster for an event. The introduction of Chat GPT and AI allows for under qualified individuals to produce work, they are over qualified for. This is just a small event that was ran by AI writing the script and it was a disaster but imagine if it was a basic success, where does this leave film makes, artists and screen writers?
