As hours pass, your hands get tired and you can barely keep your eyes open. No matter how tired you get, you have to keep working to support your family. That is what many children have to experience everyday in Bangladesh. In the past years, many U.S. companies, such as Nike, have built factories over seas. Those companies should definitely not build factories in other countries. One reason is because it is much harder to monitor the conditions in those factories and it could be harmful to the people living there. Although people earn poor currency each day in the foreign factories, I still agree that they should still continue with manufacturing the clothing, but tweak it so slightly that it changes everything. I think the conditions of the factories and ways of life of the people should be cleaned up to a fresher and more happy life. To tag along with that, they should edit the factory conditions and look after it more, so the workers feel more "fit in". They should also change the

But if they keep working too much, they may need more supplies, and the whole building could end up collapsing, just like the incident in Bangladesh. Thousands of people died, and many more were severely injured and were probably put out of work. Everyday, we're always getting treated how we want to be treated, and appreciating the nice deeds, but in the factories, how the owners are treating the workers, it's just not right. They should be also getting payed more money, three dollar isnt enough, back here, were getting paid a ton.

I do not think that stores should have work from overseas. I have noticed that the price of many things have gone up, such as gas. If people are willing to pay the slightest bit more money for gas then why can't we for others? I think that it is clear at this point, but I think we should bring back clothing factories to our country. I think of it like a group project. You in your own group have to pull your own weight. It was hard to listen to people working in buildings that could potentially collapse on them. In the beginning of the article they mentioned Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I have some relatives that live there, and I visited at the age of 5. I don't remember seeing sweatshops, but I do remember the people living on the street. So that kind of made me upset. I do not support cheap labor and buildings that can topple over and burst out into a flaming ball of fire killing hundreds of people. It isn't right and America has enough money to support their own factories.

From a US company's standpoint it would be idiotic to change the manufacturing factories to a different place because the amount of profit these company's are making is much greater than what they would be making if they moved the factories. So, overall the working conditions should be improved greatly, but keep the factories where they are.

They abuse them, they yell at them, they make them work in unsafe conditions, and they work them past their limits. People should have a say in what they do with their life, not be told they have work 14 hours a day at 15 years old. This should be changed so the workers have a healthier living. Another idea is to change the payment of each worker. The workers deserve so much more than about a dollar each day. Since its the only job that they can afford doing, I think it is best to pay MUCH more than what they normally have each day. One last thing- the government should supervise the heads of Nike or other factories because of all the problems. Although they have laws labeling how they should be respectful and such of every worker, they continue abusing them. With all of the abusing and poor conditions of working, they should change everything to a better life for the people in the factories.

I think that the US should stop making clothes overseas. Garment workers in Bangladesh minimum wage is 50 cents per hour when here in america it is $7.50. Factories put their workers in danger with dangerous machine and unstable factories. They will even punish workers who ask for a higher pay! If the factories don't stop paying their workers with such little money many people will suffer from starvation and they will still be a developing country. This is why I think that the US should stop making their clothes overseas.

I think US companies should keep manufacturing clothes overseas but they should change the factory and living conditions of the workers. They should also change how the workers are being treated. these big companies that are making so much money should use some of it to make sure the people making their clothes should have a good life.

I think we should continue to buy products made overseas because it gives people opportunities to work. But, everyone should be treated with respect. We
should write letters letting them know workers need to be treated fairly.
