Our next Basecamp hotel will be located in Nalati Grassland, Yili(Ili)Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, in northwest of China.

-Nalati Grassland's beauty is consist of winding river, large flat valley, towering and steep mountain peaks, dense forests and simple shepherds.

-Grassland is an area where the vegetation is dominated by grasses and other herbaceous plants.

Smart showers and intelligent irrigation systems will established in our basecamp hotel to reduce unnecessary water waste. Smart shower systems can limit the shower time and remind users when their time is almost over. Intelligent irrigation systems can regularly use wastewater discharged from the hotel for watering.This can save limited water resources and use wastewater rationally.

-The traditional diet contains lots of meat such as beef, mutton, and horse meat. 

-They love cream, ghee, milk, milk tofu, and butter. 

-They like to make wheat flour into fried pastries, pancakes, hot cakes, and deep-fried pancakes. 

-They like to drink cow milk, sheep milk, and especially “Manai Zi” that is made of fermented horse milk.

-Their special custom is to bring out pots and washbasins for the guests to wash before the meal. 

Air Pollution
Heating in winter and other electricity demands lead to a large amount of coal consumption, causing serious emissions of harmful substances. Such emissions can damage crops and other flora, as well as damage breathing and aggravate other diseases such as heart disease.

-Increasing the number of tourists would cause an increase in carbon emissions and cause further damage to environment.

Our basecamp hotel will install solar panels to help solve the problem of carbon emissions. It can store energy from the sun in batteries used for heating during the night. Solar panels can produce the same energy without pollution. Nalati Grassland is an ideal place for solar energy because it's sunny days for most of the year, and it is near the equator. 

A special workshop will be set in our basecamp hotel. Kazakh women will teach tourists simple embroidery. Visitors can also bring home some carpets and wall hangings they made with local cultural elements to support their handicrafts. Your support will provide them with a stable income and spread the local culture.
