We would advertise as well but we wouldn't have to worry as much about no one showing up.

Also, the energy at pubs and bars can be great and they are amongst some of my favourite kind of gigs to play.

She works at a Greene King in Burgess Hill and she says that her manager would be happy for us to put our gig on there for free- they would actually pay us.

On the bill, we're thinking of using our band (Rosanna) Not So Clever and Ollie Le Cluse

I know a good graphic designer who would be up to design a poster for our event, since neither of us know how to do it ourselves, we would be able to pay them for their services and then also hopefully use some of the remaining budget to pay for advertising spots and maybe a license to put up posters in Brighton.

A showcase would be much better to put on as we already have all the necessary resources to put on an event like this, like connections to a good venue and also bands so we wouldn't have to spend any money in those fields.

We talked about the venue, where it is and how everyone will be able to get there. It will be at the Railway in Burgess Hill.

We also spoke to Steve, the manager, to confirm our spot on this date.

We decided that due to our working schedules it'd be best to wait till November since I'm working a temporary job at a Halloween shop so any date for me in late October is very busy for me.

It needs to ideally be on a Saturday because this is when the venue is at its peak, and generally when they have bands on.

So we settled on the 16th of November for our event.

In a meeting with Rosanna this week we will discuss the things we want on the poster and sent it all over to have the poster made.

All of our styles as musicians mix very well together and we thought we would work well playing a gig together.

I agreed to bring my bass amp as I didn't want to DI into the PA system, Ben agreed to being his kit and also suggested that he would be comfortable bringing his PA system is his is better quality than the one at the pub- Rosanna has said that she will talk to Steve later this week to confirm what equipment they have. We will also message Matt (the guitarist for Rosanna and Not So Clever) off he is willing to bring his amp.

We also confirmed the travel situation; Rosanna has been in contact with someone to organise driving all the equipment to the venue the day of the event to save people needing to bring it on the train with them, we will use money from the budget to pay for petrol money.

I plan to do several more story posts and will encourage the other bands to post the same things too in the weeks/days leading up to the event.

Rosanna had a conversation with her manager where they said they would advertise the gig at the pub too.

Since the event we are playing is a regular event at this pub that encourages regulars to turn up, I feel as though the pressure of marketing the event is less, since we know there is definitely going to be people there.

We have a group chat with all the people in our year to see if anyone would lend us two.

I have chatted with Matt and decided it would be best if I brought my amp as Matt will already be bringing his guitar amp. Mine is smaller (a rumble 25) but since the venue is rather small so I know it isn't too small for the space.

We keep posting the poster on our social medias as well as advertising the event in the group chat with all the other level 5 students in.

Rosanna has also been advertising the event to all her regulars where she works and they will all be attending as well as all of her family too.

We are confident it will be a full house hopefully.

We are going to pay for their train ticket as payment swell as buy them a drink.

They emailed me back the same day to say that I didn't need to specify where the money went and to just include the final amount of how much I owed, to which I did

In the coming weeks, we will delegate this money out to who needs it
