This is a piece of propaganda from 1942. This piece uses the testimonial method. In this image it is Rosie the Riveter posing with words saying we can do it empowering women to come out and work the jobs that the men left for war but is also saying that women are more than just housewives. This shows resilience because women are going against regular standards and going out to work. I chose this piece because it shows that women can do a lot more than normal standards make them think to believe.

This song was made in the year of 1967. The song respect shows that women want the same amount of respect as men do. I selected this piece because it really shows that women want respect and it is a great piece for the topic of women and how they want equal rights . This piece really does illustrate the theme well because women want the same rights as men and want the same amount of respect.

This is a video clip from "Diary of a Mad Housewife 1970", it shows how women were treated in the past. How they were mainly a housewife, and had no time to spare on their hands. Their main focus was to clean, cook, and do everything around the house, as the husband gives her only more to do. Showing injustice, as it truly shows the way that women were poorly treated. The husband accusing his wife of not doing her job of cleaning, giving her no time to rest. For example, the father began to tell his wife that they should "get the floors waxed, windows washed, get this place looking like civilized people are in residence", though the wife has done more than enough to gain some respect or at least have a break. However, the husband continues to mock and ridicule her for other things she has to do, even when her hands are full.

This piece of art work shows everything women did and can do. In the picture on the far right it says "equal pay equal work" which is saying if men and women do the same job they should be paid the same. I picked this piece because it shows that since they got the right to vote they aren't going to stop they are going to keep pushing to get whatever to make them be treated as equal. It shows resilience because in the piece it says "women and men must share work in the family" which means that women can do more than work around the house and take care of kids there is more to women that that.

This piece was a postcard made during 1889. This propaganda uses the name calling method. They went to the president and asked if this was the reason they saved their country. The fact that the women were standing up and questioning the reason, shows true colors of resilience. As they carry the votes for women sign to the president, demanding that they earn the freedom they deserve, for the payment of helping in saving the country. I chose this piece, because it truly shows that the women are willing to fight for their rights, and question the president's claims. Proving their worth through questioning why they even helped the country at all, if they don't have any rights afterwards.

This picture was in 1894, time when women were fighting for equality. I picked this piece because on the sign they are holding it says " no self respecting women should wish or work for the success of a party that ignores her sex." which means women who works for someone or something . This shows resilience by the women making this picture and standing outside so everyone can see.

This photos shows three different women of three different races, created by Shepard Fairey. This piece was used in the women's movement march in 2017, with each representing a quote from "We the People". This propaganda uses the Transfer method. This is shown by symbolizing the phrase "We the people", and giving each a representation of each part that they are connected to. Giving you the true feeling of being a part of the society, which doesn't recognize you as part of the "We". The representation of each phrase being connected to each race, and each women truly stands out. Making a true statement about the justice that they want to acquire, thus why I chose it.

This is a video clip called Women: Know Your Limits! Which was released in 1990 on BBC Studios. This clip was considered a comedy, it really shows how poorly women were treated and how people saw women. This video makes it seem that women know nothing and are just a pretty face which is very wrong and unfair. This video shows injustice as it shows how the women were just supposed to sit and listen to the men talk and wasn't allowed to have their own opinion or have any say on topics.

This padlet will take you through the women's movement from the past to the present. Talking about the different pieces of either propaganda, videos, art, or music, that truly moved many during the event that occurred. The first part of our padlet focuses on Propaganda. Naming and explaining 3 different pieces from 3 different time periods, showing the difference in each type of propaganda used throughout the movement. Next we have music, that helped inspire and encourage many to fight for women's rights. With lyrics that helped establish a feeling of liberation, and a need to fight for what is right. Afterwards, we have artwork, which shows different events and people who were vital for the movement, and needed for the women's reassurance that they'll have a chance. Finally, we end off with 2 videos, that show how women were treated back then, before their rights were given to them.
