I really connect to this quote and it stood out to me when I found this. It really talks about nature and truly feeling it. Zeis is basically saying that if you take the time to really absorb your surroundings, it could give you a wonderful feeling. I can really think about all my senses from this post. The smell of freshly grown grass or pavement after rain. The feel of humidity in the air or wind blowing my hair. The sight of leaves blowing and the sound of a tree swaying.

He's basically saying that he prefers truth then anything else in the world, including money and fame. He also really brings out self-reliance in this quote by saying he doesn't need or require love as long as he has simple knowledge.

Looks really simple doesn't it? Yes. This painting is just a blend of different colors, simply fusing together. I think that in itself is transcendental. This painting is so simple but you can go into such depth about what colour makes you feel which emotion and how your body reacts to this. When I look at this, I can relate peace to the blue because the sky is reflected in that colour and the sky makes me feel at peace. Red is how I see the world when I'm angry. It gives me wisdom about people. Yellow is Joy. Green is peace. Purple is confusion. I chose this song for transcendentalism because of the lyrics and the tune of the song. Cough Syrup (Melanie Martinez) has such a light and happy tone which makes you feel like you're floating. It talks about how you shouldn't care because life is short and imagine some beautiful things in your life.
