I can infer that the daughter is feeling internal conflict because she was laughing when she finally got up the hill. I can infer that the daughter is feeling fraught in the middle,but ecstatic at the end. I know this because the text says, "pumping, pumping for your life"which is how she is fraught, and the text says, "screaming with laughter". This depicts she is stressed and ecstatic because, when I'm stressed I start working harder. Another personal connection is that when I am happy I am usually laughing really hard.
