The theme that is developed in "From the Book of Unknown Americans" is don't judge a book by its cover. According to Mayor, it states, "When my dad asked him what he meant by that, the guy said that my dad would have to forgive him if the party wasn't up to my dad's standards. "We didn't know the gringo royalty was coming. We'll have to get the place repainted before you arrive." This shows that the class president assumed that Rafael and his family were rich since they lived in America. According to the text, Mayor also states, "Eventually they sold almost everything they owned and used the money to buy plane tickets to somewhere else..." This also states that that the class president was wrong about Rafael and his family because they aren't rich, they had to sell and give up their own belongings to pay for a plane ticket to go somewhere safer and away from danger. Overall, this is why the theme of the story is don't judge a book by its cover.

The theme developed in "The Book of Unknown Americans" is that you have to make the best of your situation. The author states, " That's what you think ? And clutched my mom by the wrist, sending her into a small spin in the middle of the kitchen. She squealed with delight..." This part of the text shows that they're making the best out of their situation (Not being able to come to Gloria's wedding) by dancing. The author also states, " You want Panama? He said a beach is the closest thing you're going to get." This evidence shows Rafael trying to make the best of their situation by taking his family to the beach. In conclusion, the theme developed in "The Book of Unknown Americans" is that you have to make the best of your situation.

The theme that is developed in ¨From the Book of Unknown Americans¨ is that sometimes you have to make the best out of your situation.Mayor states¨That´s what you think?, he clutched my mom by her wrist that sent her into a small spin in the middle of the kitchen then he broke into some goofy merengue moves¨.This theme shows that the father decides to make the best out of missing their Aunt Tia Gloria´s wedding.Another piece of evidence that supports the theme is when Mayor states ¨You want Panama?, A beach is the closest thing you´re going to get.He hustled us out the door and down the street¨.This quote shows that when the father saw that the mother was becoming depressed because she cant visit her home country so he took into consideration on going to the beach.Overall the theme that is developed in ¨From the Book of Unknown Americans¨ is that sometimes you have to make the best out of your situation.

In the story "The book of Unknown Americans ¨ It gives a perfect example on how family will always be there. In paragraph 7, The author states ¨ She squealed with delight while he swayed with her for a few beats and then he broke out into some goofy meringue moves ¨ This quote shows how the father and the mother have a bond so strong that even though things are not going their way, they made the most of what they had which was each other. Also, In paragraph 27, It states ¨ I had to hand it to my dad though, With the water and the sand, My mom said it was like a little piece of panama. ¨ This quote shows how the father brought the family to a beach to attempt to cheer them up because of the family's strong bond. In conclusion, the story shows that family will always be there even in ups and downs.

A book he develops is titled "From the Book of Americans." In the text it says: "that my dad knew that gringo royalty would come." This means that they are being judged for being foreigners. In the text it says: This shows that the class president assumed that Rafael and his family were rich and that they lived in the United States "And I hoped that my dad would not expect everyone to kiss their feet now." This shows that he is being judged for living in the United States. In general, a theme that is developed in the book Americans cannot say that playing a book is good, so first look at it and visualize it.

What theme is developed in "The Book of Unknown Americans" The theme developed in the text is to make the best of your situation. Mayor states "We never went back to Panama not even for a visit. It would have taken us forever to save enough money for plane tickets. Besides my dad never wanted to take time off from his job. He probably could've asked for a few days of vacation time, but even after years of being there, making omelets and flipping pancakes, he knew we all knew that e was on the low end of the food chain. He could be replaced in a heartbeat. He didn't want to risk it. Because of that, we'd missed my tia Gloria's wedding which she'd had on a hillside in Boquete. She told my mom that she'd convinced her new husband Esteban, to dance and that therefore the whole event was a success. We had my aunt on speakerphone and my mom had said, "Take it from me hermanita they dance at the wedding and never dance again." My dad had said "That's what you think?" and clutched my mom by the wrist, sending her into a small spin in the kitchen." This shows how even though they missed Gloria's wedding they still found time to enjoy being on the phone with her and dancing to the music in the background. Mayor states "My aunt called which cheered my mom up for a while, but once that wore off, she was more down than ever, shuffling around the house in her slippers, no makeup, her hair a disaster she carried tissues in the pocket of her bathrobe and made a big show dabbing her nose with them every so often. Eventually, my dad came up with an idea. "You want Panama?" he said "A beach is the closest thing your're going to get." This shows that you can always try to make your situation better. In conclusion you can always make the best out of your situation even when its bad.

The theme that is developed in, " From the Book of Unknown Americans" is when times get difficult and hard, family will always be there for one another. In paragraph 26 Mayor states, " That year around the holidays we were all miserable. Holidays were always bad-my mom in particular got homesick sometimes like it was a genuine illness- but that Christmas was the worst. We were depressed and on edge. This shows how times were difficult and hard by showing Celia becoming sick from the tragic event of 9/11 and the holidays were not good for the whole entire family. In addition in paragraph 28 Mayor states," But one beach isn't every beach. And one home isn't every home. And I think we all sensed, standing there, just how far we were from where we had come, in ways both good and bad. "It's beautiful", my mom said, staring out at the ocean. She sighed and shooked her head this country. This shows how family is always there to help by the father taking them to the beach to remind them about Panama this shows how the theme that is developed in" The Book of Unknown Americans'.
