The Federalist/Anti-Federalist parties formed during Washington's first term as president, due to the different POVs on the Constitution and federal government. The Federalists supported the Constitution and the Anti-Federalists were against it, exclaiming how the people had less power. There came a compromise, with the creation of the Bill of Rights.
The other political parties were the Federalists/Democratic-Republicans.
