Domestic policies are the rules of the nation (USA). Some domestic problems were the establishment of the Judicial Branch and the Bill of Rights. The most critical problem was money, with a financial plan by Alexander Hamilton to tax luxury items (whiskey, etc.). As though many did not agree with this, it organized the economy of the United States.

Washington didn't fancy conflict or involvement with other countries, assuming that would cause the breaking apart of state affairs. The Suez Crisis (war in 1973 with France against Britain) included the US needing to pick sides between the French and the British. As many Americans wanted to help the French and others trusted the British (even after the American Revolution?), Washington declared the state neutral.

Some famous political parties were the federalists and anti-federalists, and the federalists and democratic-republicans. The Federalist/Anti-Federalist parties formed during Washington's first term as president, due to the different POVs on the Constitution and federal government. The Federalists supported the Constitution and the Anti-Federalists were against it, exclaiming how the people had less power. There came a compromise, with the creation of the Bill of Rights.
The other political parties were the Federalists/Democratic-Republicans. The Federalists had a loose interpretation of the Constitution and wanted an alliance with the British, whilst the Democratic-Republicans desired to ally with the French with a strict interpretation of the Constitution.

Washington was the first president of the United States, requiring him to take the first steps for the USA's new government. He first used "So help me God", which is still being used today. Then he created the Cabinet system, consisting of a Secretary of State with Thomas Jefferson, Secretary of Treasury with Alexander Hamilton, and a Secretary of War with Henry Knox.

He married a woman named Martha Custis and had two adopted kids. He was six feet and two inches in height, weighing 175 pounds. He wore deformed dentures made of ivory, human teeth (some of his own), hippopotamus teeth, and cow teeth. He also considered himself a common planter and soldier in his past times.
