No clear facts have been found regarding the exact history of the existence of the sport of Sepak Manggis among the Bajau community. Only hereditary stories inherited from ancestors say this game has something to do with the socialisation of the local community. What is clear is that the game of sepak manggis is closely related to the games of sepak takraw or sepak raga among the Malay community.

There's also no explanation for why this sport is called Sepak Manggis. The word Sepak Manggis signifies kicking the ball high on the target to bring high spirits to this town, according to interviews with elderly personalities in the community. According to one source, the word 'Sepak' comes from a Malay word that refers to the game of sepak raga. "Manggis" is an ornamental basket shaped like a mangosteen fruit and hung high. While the sweet white mangosteen filling is said to be similar to the items in the basket previously prepared with a sense of delight, excitement, and sincerity on the part of the host to be offered to anyone who manages to lower the basket.

The design of the Sepak Manggis game is almost identical to the concept of cradling a cane ball in a group of several players in a soccer game. Sepak Manggis, on the other hand, has a lofty objective to shoot for. However, some accounts claim that the Sepak Manggis game began with a group of players playing the ball before one of them kicks the ball high into the target. This game has been simplified over time, and today we see a player throwing the ball to a friend and then swinging the ball high at the target.

How can the Bajau community embrace this sport? Some believe the secret is a rattan ball that is easy to come by and can be woven. In the Kota Belud area, the Bajau people live mostly as fishermen and farmers. The Bajau people make sports balls out of rattan.

Cherki is a famous card game that originated in Malacca and was once played by the Nyonyas. Cherki is simple to play if you know the many Hokkien and Baba Malay terminology used in the game. Peranakans who do not speak Hokkien or Baba Malay will find it challenging to play the game properly.

Cherki is similar to Mahjong and a more complicated version of See Sake.

Cherki is claimed to have its origins in ancient Chinese card games. It was dubbed a "money card" by the Chinese. As a result, the money characters on the cards make sense. Cherki is almost exclusively played by women. A set of Cherki cards can only be used for one game per day and cannot be used for another. This is because the card's quality and thickness have changed. They believe that if they played the same deck of cards again, their luck would vanish.

Tibow, also known as Pisa' Tibow, is a Sarawakian traditional game passed down from generation to generation by the Melanau ethnic group. Traditional games are frequently played at the Kaul Festival, which is a one-of-a-kind festival of the Melanau Sarawak ethnic group that takes place every year and is one of the Sarawak Bumi Kenyalang tourism calendar's annual events.

One of the traditional activities that must be present during the festival is Tibow, which is a big swing game. This Tibow game is actually one of the symbols of togetherness and rejoicing (mixed in the Melanau tongue) and is an appeal to the brave Melanau teenagers solely because of the numerous stunts that occur throughout the game.

This tibow is normally 8 to 10 metres tall and constructed on flat land in an inclined posture. Tibow is divided into two halves. The first section features shelves or vistas that resemble stairs, while the second section includes two pyramid-shaped pillars. This section will have a rattan string that will be swung from left to right like a large swing. This swinging rattan will later be jumped by one player, followed by the third, fourth, and fifth players, until it can no longer swing. It may appear simple, but only brave men will be able to participate in this game since its height, as well as its difficulty, are difficult to express.

That is why constructing a tibow necessitates meticulous attention to detail, including selecting the appropriate spot for erecting it because it must be erected securely on soft soil without gravel. This is because the players' level of safety is considered, because if they make a mistake, they will fall to the ground with no mattress or net to provide a basis, only the ground surface. And it's perhaps for this reason that Tibow is frequently created on large, flat beaches.

This ancient Melanau ethnic game is still played in Sarawak's Melanau community's public events.

The game of tibow, according to oral histories passed down from generation to generation in Sarawak's Melanau community, stretches back to prehistoric times. There is also mention of the fabled story behind this tibow game in the book published by Shahnil Asmar Saaid and Mohamed Roselan Malek. It is reported that once upon a time, a devastating disease swept across the community of Kampung Pentian in Mukah, Sarawak.

Many locals of Kampung Pentian died as a result of the disease, and every effort has been made to remove it, but these efforts often fail. As a result of the large number of victims, Kampung Pentian is claimed to have been a silent community where practically every family was in grief. It is said that one night in Kampung Pentian, an old Melanau man had a dream about being contacted by a gigantic eagle who taught him how to build a tibow and play it.

Because the entire Melanau community was still practising paganism, or believing in spirits, this old man relayed the account of his dream to a bomoh, who served as an intermediary to interpret the story behind his dreams. The dream was extended to the leader of the Melanau community in Kampung Pentian based on the prognosis from this bomoh's premonition. Because of this idea, the men and women of Kampung Pentian have banded together to construct a massive cradle, or tibow, as the old man's dream suggested. According to legend, no more epidemics of the terrible sickness struck Kampung Pentian following the erection of this tibow. Since then, Tibow has become a classic game that must be played at every gathering. Since then, Tibow has become a traditional Sarawak Melanau game that must be played at every festival.

A tibow cannot be built arbitrarily since it has taboos that must be adhered to. The Melanau community will play a set of canang and melela drums hammered to enliven the construction ambiance throughout the tibow's building. This tibow will be built on the foundation of two wooden poles that are each 30 feet long. The Melanau community's historical verses. This poem is one of the cults of Ipo Tibow, or the God who oversees the game of Tibow, and it seeks the Gods' assistance in order to simplify all construction concerns. The other structural activities will begin once the pillar is in place. Tibow is constructed in the shape of a shelf or pyramid. will be chanted while these two pillars are being raised.

Monopuk or Menyumpit, or "blow piping," is a hunting or war action practised by the Murut ethnic group in Sabah's interior. Its purpose is likewise similar to that of lositics, which was once utilised as a weapon in combat or hunting. The blow pipe, or sosopuk, is a 5-7 foot long cylindrical piece of hard wood with a hole drilled in the centre. The polod, or bamboo fruit, produces the amok or ramok, which is a bullet measuring 12-16 cm.

The fruit is scraped until it is 0.3mm thick and the end is sharpened. The poison peliu, derived from a species of wood with rubber discharge, is smeared on the sharpened fruit. The rubber is attached to the bamboo, then tied and let to dry. Peliu is kept in a karaban, a specific container that measures 8 inches and is constructed of wood.

Male and female competitors aged 18 and up are eligible to compete. To receive a score, all participants must whip towards the target. For the sake of the tournament, each competitor will be provided three (3) blowpipes. The points earned by the three (3) offspring of the blowtorch will determine the winner of this competition. To collect the score, the blowtorch must stay on the target. No points will be granted if the blowtorch falls.

To collect the score, the blowtorch must stay on the target. No points will be granted if the blowtorch falls. For men, the target distance from the chopsticks is fifty (50) feet, whereas for women it is thirty (30) feet. The decision of the referee is final. The organiser shall not be held liable for any injuries or deaths sustained by participants during or after their participation in this tournament. Participants who are inebriated are not permitted to compete in this event. The winners will be selected by the three (3) contestants who receive the highest scores. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by a "sudden death" competition.

If more than three (3) people tie for first place, the tournament will be re-run with a point count to decide the winner. Its elaboration took place in the Malaysian culture area, particularly in Borneo. Double-tube bamboo types, split-and-grooved wooden weapons, and solid bored wooden blowguns evolved from simple reed and bamboo forms. Clay pellets probably preceded darts as missiles; darts were eventually poisoned.

the Muruts are also known as hunters
which is reliable using a type of tool known as a blowgun (sumpit) and
have a hunting dog.

This game, which requires bodily balance, was once utilised to traverse rivers or ditches, as well as rickshaw areas, in ancient times. Boys are usually the only ones who enjoy this game. The word "rampanau" is derived from the Dusun word "mamanau," which means "to stroll." The wooden stick used in this game is known as Rampanau. As a result, rampanau is a method of walking with a wooden stick that has been carefully made to act as a high shoe. The bamboo sticks are frequently utilised, and they are created at varying heights depending on the player's preferences.

Each class must send four pupils: two male students and two female students. There will be three rounds to the competition. The time taken in each round will be added to determine the winner, second, and third place. The winner will be the team with the smallest time count. The competition is divided into three rounds:

Round 1: One class will have two male competitors competing against each other.
