PERCY Spencer was fiddling with a microwave-emitting magnetron when he found that a chocolate bar in his pocket had started to melt. 

While Percy Spencer was doing radar work, testing a new vacuum tube, he discovered that a chocolate bar in his pocket was melting faster. 

At first, I felt like it was a galaxy, like the Milky Way. I found that the colours blue, white, yellow and green gave a light effect. And in the middle, in the black circle, we can see white dots that look like stars.

Then, I thought the image looked like an eye. The black circle looks like a pupil, and the coloured lines look like an iris.

And finally, I thought it looked like a bacterium. The black circle represents the bacterium, and the blue and white lines represent the hairs around the bacterium.

So this image intrigued me, because I didn't know exactly what it was and so I found it interesting.

 This subject interested me because she’s currently a great figure of the improvement of science, but she didn’t really choose her destiny. All this work that she had to achieve shows that it was really hard for a woman to be assertive in the sciences world, or even just in History. She’s still not that known and recognized, even though she revolutionised information technology.

 As a child, she loved mathematics, which was not a very common passion for a little girl at the time. Her father, George Gordon Byron, sometimes called her « the Princess of parallelograms ». Byron made sure that Ada’s tutors gave her a good education in mathematics, which was quite unusual at the time in the education of a noble girl. One of her tutors, Augustus De Morgan, thought that women were incapable of excelling in this discipline. But he acknowledged Ada's abilities yet in a letter to her mother, he wrote "The very great tension of mind which they require is beyond the strength of a woman's physical power of application". So, for him, women were incapable because they were not as strong as men. So, Ada decided she would prove that the theory was wrong.

I was particularly interested in this aspect of her life because she didn't have a traditional childhood as a girl and from a very young age she wanted to prove that women could do as much as men.
