AccessArt creates a safe space for people who either want to become better artists or better educators. There are numerous recourses throughout the website to help accustom each individual's needs. There is also a participatory zoom meeting that you can attend to learn, meet artists, and even create your own art. Combining the concept of unnecessary usage of pill bottles (constantly getting new bottles each month, etc) and mental illness. The word time is seen across the picture in order to represent the continuation of these pill bottles coming and the more waste it creates overtime. I also took a picture of pill bottles and expanded it out so the word “harm” appears over my face. When I was 9 or 10, I discovered that I could use the wax that covers Babybel cheeses to make art. I've been creating art basically since I was capable of holding a pencil or marker or any utensil for art. I've expanded my art world to photography and cinema, but I still have a real soft spot for modeling and drawings/paintings. For this project, I want to pick up where I left off over a decade ago and create wax sculptures again. I kept so many of my old creations for such a long time, but I tossed them about 4 years ago and am regretting it. So I shall continue to not throw away the wax from these cheeses that I love as an any time of day snack and instead morph them into works of art. My first is a big cat because leopards have been my favorite animal for almost half of my life.
